Church Background
Wesleyan Chapel was founded by a core group of members holding a firm belief in Biblical Authority, and what they saw as a wandering from that authority within the current, more institutionalized structure. From a small founding group to at present over 60 members from a variety of denominational backgrounds, pastor Bradley Martin guides the parish through the teachings of the 66 books of bible. As outlined in the chapels’ statement of beliefs, “The Bible is the inspired word of God. Scripture contains all instructions necessary for salvation. These books are necessary for faith and the life of the believer for they contain the will of God.”
Live Simply.
Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil.
Proverbs 15:16
Love Generously.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9
Speak Truthfully.
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Ephesians 4:15

Pastor Martin leads the Sunday worship service (10 AM) and weaves his sermons with historical context around the Gospel, then bringing that context forward to what it means in our lives today.
From its humble beginnings, the church has grown in number and spirit. The church community offers a vibrant youth program, which has sponsored events ranging from the creation and distribution of care packages for the homeless to a mission to rebuild homes in Appalachia devastated from 2024’s historic flooding. The church supported and continues to grow in its support of the community by sponsoring local charities, mission work, outreach programs, and being active in local Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) events.
